About Ty Borden

I've been a veterinarian now for just over a year. I completed my education at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada and I've continued to practice in Hudson, AB, recently becoming partner at the Scott Cardinal Veterinarian Clinic. At our home on the Heartland ranch, I share an office with my beautiful wife, Amy Fleming, and we are thrilled to be expecting our first child. Amy helps horses and their owners resolve behavioural issues. We are passionate about our vocations, and we are both on the lookout for any opportunity to hone our skills. My niece, Georgie Fleming-Morris, got us interested in the plight of the Gobi bear in Mongolia after finding out about it online. After a lot of deliberation, Amy and I reached a decision that I should take action. So my good pal Bob Granger and I have teamed up with Veterinarians Without Borders to travel across the world to the Gobi Desert and do our part. I will continue to update this site throughout our journey. I look forward to the road ahead, and hope to return to Heartland a better veterinarian. Thanks for reading.

This is what will keep me motivated.
